Responsibilities:
PRIMARY DUTIES:

'Assist fitness staff in coordination of Fitness Place activities while complying with all safety and fitness regulations.
'Develop and conduct fitness evaluation tests and protocols.
'Develop and conduct exercise prescription programs.
'Provide clerical support.
'Coordinate and conduct aerobic and special interest classes as required.
'Assist in training interns and support staff.
'Complete projects as directed by the Supervisor.


Requirements:
SKILLS:

'Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
'Ability to work with minimum supervision and independently prioritize workload.
'Knowledge of all fitness and exercise equipment.
'Experience in the development and implementation of health promotion programs.
'Technical expertise in physical fitness testing, health risk appraisal, interviewing and exercise prescription in a confidential setting.
'High level of energy and the ability to motivate members to reach goals and objectives.
'Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

'Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Physical Education
'2-4 years related work experience preferred.
'First Aid & CPR Certification required.
'ACSM, NSCA, ACE, NASM, or NCSF Certifications recommended.
'Exemplary attendance and job performance.
