the harsh truth: It’s us. We are the reason. We drive people away.
So, how can you reduce the percentage of people who are driven away from you before you can get through to them with your message and provide them with a year of training? The Advantages of Having a Large Club
I recommend all Karate instructors observe their own behaviors and work for continuous self-improvement in order to attract and retain students, because, big surprise, without retaining students, you won’t be having as big of an impact on the world as you could. You aren’t as effective as you could be.
Instructors are dependent on students to hear their teachings and implement them. All of the teaching in the world is pointless if no one pays any attention to it and never implements any of the ideas. Thus, retaining students we invest in with our teachings is to our advantage.
Further advantages of retaining students include increased revenue which allows for renting of superior facilities, paying for a cleaning service, or having dedicated facilities which can be open any day or night. Even more advantages are open to large clubs. They can host tournaments, get group discounts on insurance, easily afford to hire in guest instructors, host seminars, and take large supportive teams to Karate tournaments to generate applause and increase their chances of winning.
The advantages to having a large club are clear.
